Filth In Beauty... .........or Beauty in Filth? Which are you?
Lalala~ Lalala~ BOOM! Surprised? :D Hope it was a pleasant one`!
This was the first song that I've heard from the Japanese band, The Gazette. Gotta say they are pretty talented~
The name of the song caught my attention... filth in beauty. hehe~ kinda remind me of the world today- always busy to look presentable while hiding the ugly side.
Recently, I have been paying visits to disposal sites- Walmer(2), Seaview(1) and Hunters(2). The reason? Uncle fang went to Joburg for classes, thus left his pickup at my house. And thus~ allowing Dad a chance to make FULL USE of it. Dad gave the tree outside the house a major haircut, I was also given a opportunity to drive a pickup and visit 3 different disposal site-a total of 5 times!
I actually have to look twice to believe this slimy creature is moon-walking on the wrong side of the glass!! It was sticking so tightly that I can feel it being suck out of it's shell when I pull it! So, in the end I have to pry it loose by touching it's flesh and pry... eww.
Colours of the World- The blue, the black and the green.
Filth in beauty... Imagine, what it can mean.
Beauty in Filth... I am not talking about being optimistic.
Isuzu KB280DT Well, I gotta say driving a pickup could be quite a pleasure~ good horsepower and elevated driving view........but uncle's pickup's gear system is crappy... haha~ the handbrake was messed up by me when I drove quite a few kilometers home with the handbrake engaged... (uh oh')
First time I encountered this ant-like "insect" was in Cape Town, never imagined to see it in my room~ well.... the truth is, it is actually a 8-legged spider. It just look like a ant, probably for defense or hunting purposes~ pretty cool.
Haven't opened the pool lights for like 3-4 years` and now, opened it for photographic purposes-sad and funny at the same time. Always have this fear of getting electric shock!! Ask Dad this question..." Pa~ what happen if the bulb burns out? How to change?" Dad's reply "............. , dunno."
My recent visits to disposal sites kinda inspired my deeper understanding towards how people's views are developed.
Filth in Beauty~ I see that most people want a better standards of living and a life where money was never a issue. Yet, for some reasons... once they are in that zone, they tend to keep a distance away from the poor and even developed a fear towards the unprivileged. But why?
Even when doing some kind of donations~ I still can feel that they aren't really trying to help them with their heart... it is more like out of pity or an action to justify their social status. Why??
Beauty in Filth~ At most of the sites, there are always a little area where some workers will display their "treasures" found from the dump~ from toys to plants, from plants to bricks. They sell it back to the public. Dad almost bought the bricks from them, too bad the owner isn't around.
Workers there are very hard workers- Fast and Efficient. Just for a measly tip of R10, they will gladly unload the entire truck. I was deeply impressed by their attitude towards the job and at the same time, of their physical strength and stamina- wildly impressive.
Dad always have this literal "Beauty in Filth" attitude towards possibly-reusable-materials. Why is he wearing long sleeves and long pants on a Summer afternoon ? To prevent cuts and to prevent the skin from looking darker!! WTH~
How much longer can we keep dumping our filth?
