My last little Winter excursion!

School had started for a week already.

Things hasn't really changed much. Everyone came back and most of them are glad to be back! Seems like most of us hasn't really enjoyed the June holidays~~ It is just a break before the real hell starts.

This semester, there is no more Eng.drawing classes anymore , but in place of it , I have African Culture and Globalisation for Engineers. It is like a humanities course which is compulsory of Eng. students. Personally, I love it. It is really cool and interesting.

The crap thing is I have 1 more course adding to the load- MAM1045. It is a Matlab course. Crazy stuff... Unbelievable. Anyway, what needs to be done has to be done.

Now, since this is the first week of school. I feel like posting some(?!!) pics to set a milestone for the year!

1week + ago, I flew back to Cape Town and last Sunday, I decided to challenge the Tygerberg Nature Reserve once again~ this time taking another route. I haven't been exercising during the holidays and my whole body are like complaining...haha~ so ....LET THE PICTURE DO THE TALKING BA......this is the longest I've ever done....Keep the memories here for future.

Towards Kulula Airline's plane. -_-you know, this is a budget airlines and the funny thing is...this plane is totally white- No printing on the plane's body , nothing but white...haha~

This is the South African Airlines.

Goodbye, PE.

Look closely...that is snow-capped mountains! IT DOES SNOW HERE IN SOUTH AFRICA! >.<'''
but...sadly, it is only on the mountains and we'll have to travel to the mountains, yet again, I came back too late...This is probably one of the very few things I don't mind winter...

On my way to Tygerberg Nature Reserve!

This time round , I took the Gold Mole Route. The last time, I took the Tortoise Route, which was damn short compared to this one which I unknowingly undertook...

The Gold Mole Route is more like a hiking trail than just a regular strolling trail.

After walking the trail for 20mins , I came to a T-junction of which I took the left side of the trail because it is a longer trail...decide to take a longer one to enjoy myself for one last time. Man...haven't had breakfast, just brushed my teeth..no water either...goodness, I never imagined what is ahead of me.. haha~~

The Gold Mole Route is on the shady&wet side of the hill, thus~ this route's terrain is ladden with moss. Beautiful but hazardous. I skidded and almost slipped for alot of times, most of the time I am like "walking on a wet floor".

This is one of my favourites.

This is why it is very different from the previous trail(Tortoise). This is just one of the many snake-like-trails wrapping the hill(s).

I was walking ,walking and I saw this container-like structure and I remember seeing this 'thing' from my room. That instantly became one of the destinations!

One of the most interesting scene that day. LOOK AT THAT! Thats a hole on the rock bed resulted from years and years of wearing from the sewage. This is a very old place~~~~

This is a very, very steep and slippery descent... I am already very concentrated, doing my best not to take the wrong step , adding to my misery, I have dogs barking MADLY&AGGRESSIVELY at me chasing me along the fence. In the end, I had to use my fingers to block my ears -_-''
Haha~ ask anyone and they will tell you about this turkey-not-turkey, chicken-not-chicken,dumb-n-dumber kind of birds. I don't know the proper name. But they are funny. Really cute and amusing. Back in PE, I remember we have to stop our car in the middle of the road for this birds to cross the roads and sometimes, they will lead a line of little chicks to march across the road . That really cracks me up!

Draw a 'line' vertically in the middle of the pic. You will see a road on the right and a little tree-like thing on the left of the line. Well, immediately at the base of that tree is where I live now.

ZhongXin is the flat roof house.
Yeah baby~ Arrived at the container thinge.
Bird of prey.

Haha~ can't resist the temptation of climbing la~~~~~~
On my way again. By this time, I am only 3/5 of the way. I am shacked, hungry and thirsty. One thing about places like this is - You gotta be careful. If you are to faint here, no one can gurantee when you will be spotted , especially on a secluded trail. But` I'm not that dumb.

This is a one steeeEEEEP slope.

Ladies and Gentlemen. May I present you, the "Mole Holes" It could be something else too, but I have a good feeling that it is a mole hole. There are more than 5 around these ones.

First proper glimpse of Table Mountain.

Final Destination. (still far sia...)

If I am not wrong, thats the freeway I drove to school(during exams period), all the way to the left side base of the Table Mountain. ~

Less than 200m to go now!

No idea what da heck this gun is doing here. I mean, logically to me is pretty useless.

AHhhhhhh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (PIC OF THE DAY. yeah!)

See anything? I stood on the cement structure 10+meters away and spotted IT.

I immediately jumped down and started looking for it and by experience, I know the chances of find it is very slim but, luck seems to be on my side that day!

I walked past it, and it caught the corner of my eye~ and at the same time, it froze completely. I knew I had the chance. So I approach it as quietly as I could but then I noticed that it has quite a bad hearing! I expect a mole to have a good sense of smell and hearing! They pretty blind though~~ Thats why I doubt that it is a mole- Maybe a wild hamster (hahaha~~)

I came pretty close to it, and guess what happen... -_-'' it continue his meal of the thorny leaves... I don't think it knows I am a hand reach away. I gently touched the soft animal on the hind and I quickly withdraw my hands, no way I am going to play with a wild animal! Those thing's reflexes are instinctive and wildly unpredictable.

So, I took the chance and observing it. It just chew on the hard thorny leaves like a biscuit. Goodness , you can even hear the cracking sound the thorny leaves make when it chews on it.

I didn't get to see it's face till now.... MAN....it is a unknown creature...a body of a hamster, the snout of a pig and ............

....teeth of a BEAVER! What on EARTH?!!!

It later finally realised my presence and scrambled aways in a slow manner~ digging into vegetation. That really made my day and wrapped my trip up nicely!

Finally, you know, all these took around 4 hours... I am really having abit of headache already!

HAHAHA~~ like that~ I can disappear liao! HAHAHA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
